Priestley thanks Thompson for information on Ida Mary Roper and a portrait of her. Roper (1865-1935) was a British botanist and curator of the wildflower display at Bristol City Museum, 1911-1923. She started a herbarium in 1893 that was given in the1930s to the University of Leeds as a result of her friendship with J. H. Priestley.
